Real Madrid have built up an incredible reputation of attracting some of the best young talents from all over the world. They have found another great prospect in French midfielder Rayan Cherki and sources suggest that they already have a verbal agreement with the player.

It was first reported by Spanish outlet Defensa Central who mentioned that Los Blancos had been following Cherki for some time and was on their radar. They have now added that Real Madrid have a verbal agreement with the player and have even held talks with his club Olympique Lyon.

Apparently, the defending European champions have secured a first option of refusal on the player which will enable them to match any bid that Lyon accept for the services of the 19-year-old.

Rayan Cherki has spent his entire career with Lyon and he came up through the club’s youth ranks after joining the academy as a seven-year-old way back in 2010. Since then, he started rising through the different levels before making his first team debut for the French giants in 2019 when he was just 16 years old.

Although it is believed that the club and its management had problems with his attitude for a while, which made it difficult for him to break into the first team, he has now become more or less an established starter for Lyon.

The 19-year-old has also had a more than decent 2022/23 season so far. Having played 22 matches, he has scored three goals and has also registered another three assists for his teammates. This progress in his game has not gone unnoticed in Europe as many teams continued to monitor him based on his early promise. All of these surely leave an influence on sports betting.
