‘This will always be Nate’s house’ – Dana White reacts to Nate Diaz leaving UFC

Nate Diaz has been a real star in the UFC over the years. He has won numerous battles and has a very long-standing relationship with Dana White, who had Diaz in his roster for 15 years. Naturally, when Diaz announced his plans to leave the UFC after his win over Tony Ferguson, White had nothing but praise for him.

“He’s been here forever,” White said of Diaz at the UFC 279 post-fight press conference. “It’s been a blast having him here. I wish him well.

“Me and him had this discussion months ago at the offices. Whatever he moves on to do, I wish him nothing but the best. He’s starting his own organization or getting into promoting or doing something else, I wish him nothing but the best of luck. It’s been awesome having him here,” White added.

Diaz announced the formation of Real Fight Inc., his own promotion where he plans to hold MMA fights, boxing matches, and even grappling competitions, just before the UFC 279.

The MMA fighter also hopes to make his name in other sports outside the UFC. Many think that Boxing would be natural fit and it can also become a lucrative career with fights against the likes of Jake Paul and others. Diaz also hopes to return to the UFC someday again and from what White said, it seemed like he will be more than happy to welcome him back.

“No matter what Nate does from here on out, this is his house,” White said.

As far as Diaz’s professional MMA record goes, he has played 34 matches and won 21 of them. Five of those have been by knockouts and 12 by submission. As far as his 13 losses go, Diaz has lost only two times by knockouts and just once by submission. That sums up how tough and skillful he is.
