3 March, 2023

Manchester United are in the market for another midfielder and their next target is Ajax’s young Mohammed Kudus who has been making ripples in the Netherlands with his talent. The 22-year-old from Ghana has established himself as a starter in Ajax’s midfield and is providing consistently strong performances week in and week out.

Naturally, he has attracted the interest of Manchester United who are making a habit of doing business with Ajax. The Red Devils had previously signed Lisandro Martinez and Antony from Ajax last summer while also securing the services of their head coach Erik Ten Hag.

Now they have made contact with the camp of Kudus and want to bring him to the Old Trafford next summer. Moreover, according to the Football Insider source, Kudus has told his friends that he is eager to be reunited with his former coach Ten Hag at United.

As such, he may get his desired wish as the report further added that Ajax value him at a region of around £48 million and Manchester United may be willing to spend that sum.

Kudus has a contract with the club until 2025 and he was extremely close to joining Everton last summer. Despite the failed move, the 22-year-old maintains that it is his big desire to play in the Premier League and a move to United will be a dream come true for him.

Kudus also starred in the FIFA World Cup with Ghana and he has been in wonderful form for Ajax so far this season. Having made 32 appearances so far this season, Kudus has scored 16 goals and he has also provided three assists to his teammates.

What’s extremely noticeable about his game is that Kudus is extremely versatile and is capable of playing in a variety of positions. He has started matches up front, on the right wing and even deep in midfield. During the World Cup in Qatar, he featured as a number 10 for the Black Stars.
