Real Madrid eying Torino’s midfielder in summer
Real Madrid’s midfield has worked wonders over the last decade and talks of their brilliance are all over the place in the world of football. But very soon, they might be in need of a bit of a rebuild. Some of their regulars, and established legends if we could say, like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are towards the twilight of their careers and the Galacticos also let go of Casemiro to Manchester United, who is yet to be replaced.
This is now the time for Florentino Perez to buckle up and pick up some exciting midfield talents from Europe. Thus, it would not be a surprise if Real Madrid are keeping an eye out for midfielders these days. It seems like they have caught the attention of one young midfielder from Torino in Serie A.
As reported by Tuttosport (via Mundo Deportivo), Real Madrid is closely monitoring the case of Samuele Ricci. Torino are eying a price between €20 million and €25 million to let him depart. Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli are also interested in the services of this midfielder. Ricci has been a standout player for Torino in Serie A and has represented the Italian national team on a couple of occasions as well.
Ricci is just 21 years of age and as a result, would be a long-term signing for Real Madrid. He has represented Italy at multiple youth levels and recently broke into the senior team as well.
Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be a fan of Ricci’s talents. And it remains to be seen if Los Blancos end up making a move for him in the summer or not. Real Madrid have some great up and coming talent in the middle of the park as well like Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, while Fede Valverde and Dani Ceballos have enough experience now to take the next step. Someone like Ricci could be a good addition to that mix.
There are plenty of speculations regarding the future of the current manager, but Ancelotti insisted that he wants to see out the current period as manager, which ends at the end of next season. While there are no confirmations regarding his future, it’ll be interesting to see the kind of players Madrid will go for in the summer. Stay updated on Football news with Nextbet.
